Forever 21

Hey guys :)

So I'm sure you all know what Forever 21 is, but if you don't then I'll explain. It's basically the American version of Primark here in the UK, but it's so much better. It's better quality and a wider range of stuff for the same price as Primark.

I went to Birmingham this weekend for Birmingham Style, which I'll blog about later. Anyway, i walked through the Bullring and saw that Forever 21 was "coming soon". How soon, i have no idea.

But i literally screamed with excitement, everyone must of thought i was completely crazy, but oh well :)

I so can't wait!

Review - Benefit Coralista, Hoola and Dallas

I recently bought Coralista and Hoola from Benefit and already had Dallas, so this review is basically going to be comparing the three.

Coralista, Hoola and Dallas

Coralista
As you can see from the picture, Coralista is a really pretty colour. It's corally, as the name suggests, but is not too corally like some blushes, so is really wearable.

I find that the best way to wear it is swept from the upper half of the apple of the cheeks in a gentle upwards curve to the hairline, as opposed to just swirled on the apple of the cheeks. The colour blends really well into my skin tone, so it gives me colour as well as acting as a contour to exaggerate my cheek bones.

Hoola
This has to be one of my favourite bronzers. It's matt, and not shimmery like Dallas often can be. It suits my skin tone perfectly and just gives me a sublte hint of bronzing. It's a really good contouring colour. You can change the intensity of the colour depending on the skin tone, by building the colour up, or dragging it out.

I use it as my contour, creating the figure of 3 on both sides of my face. I start with the cheek bones, pulling the fish face and doing a few brush strokes over and over. I then blend the colour up close to my hair line and forehead, go over the cheek bones again before going down onto my chin bone.

Dallas
Not my favourite bronzer, as it appears to be quite shimmery. And I really hate shimmery bronzers on me, it looks silly in the daytime. However, the colour is a really lovely colour, really quite bronze. So I wear it in the evening, because the darkness of the atmosphere drowns out the shimmer, whereas daylight highlights the shimmer.

I'd wear it as a contour colour, just as I described Hoola.

The Brushes
I HATE HATE HATE these brushes, the bristles fall out, their too chunky, they absorb too much of the colour, the handles too short.... They just don't work for me. I usually use a blusher brush for all three, because it works so much better.

Hope this was helpfull! What do you guys think?
Love, Chlo x

I'm Back!

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting things for a long time, but that will change I promise.

There are two main reasons why I've been away, the first being I had external examinations, which were obviously very important, so I needed to focus my attention on them. The second reason is that I started to wonder what the point of me blogging is, as I'm positive no one reads my entries.

But I've realised that blogging is for me, not anyone else and it really shouldn't matter if people read it or not. Take Julie from the film Julie & Julia for example.

Birmingham Haul

I went to Birmingham last week to shop with a friend. I've been really busy recently, so that's why it's a bit late. All products were bought by me :)

1. Bumpits
I love big,
volumous hair, and I usually back comb my hair, so I wanted to try these. I got the blonde colour because I have blonde hair, but there is also a brown colour. I've tried them out, but they seem to slip down quite easily but I haven't had much chance to try them out properly, so I can't really pass an opinion. But I will try them out soon and let you guys know how I got on :) There's one regular size bumpit, one large (which is huge) and one small. The regular would be used on the crown, the small on your bangs, or if you want a small lift. The large one is really big and I think I would only wear it on a night out, or a fancy dress party if I was going as Amy Winehouse, it really is that huge. All the bumpits have little bumps, like you find on the inside of a hairband. The bumpits come with an instruction leaflet, which shows you how to use them and some styles you can try out. You also get a small-toothed handled comb too.

RRP: 10 pounds.
2. Paul's Boutique Barbie Purse
I love Paul's Boutique and as soon as I saw the Barbie range, I fell head over heels in love with them. I loved the purses the best, so I got one of them. They come in either black, pink or gold. It took me ages to decide which one I wanted, because all three are completely gorgeous. I settled on the black though, because the Barbie logo stands out more than it does on the pink or gold. The
outside of the purse is black patent with silver bits of glitter in. There's the Barbie logo in pink on the front, outlined in silver. On the back, there's the Paul's Boutique and barbie logo in material in hot pink. Inside, there's credit card holders, money slips, and a zip up bit in the middle for your change. The inside is hot pink material.

On the zip, there's a the
Paul's Boutique trademark charm. It's got plastic shapes on, as you can see and there's also the letter "B" and "P", it's really cute.
RRP: 34.99 pounds
3. Sleek Palette in "Original"
I was so pleased to come across a Superdrug that had the Sleek range in, because my local ones don't. I couldn't decide what palette to get, because I loved them all, but I settled on the original for now because the colours reminded me of summer.

The colours are really highly pigmented and really soft with a lovely fine milled texture. The picture doesn't do justice to the colours, they're so much brighter in real life. But they're so pretty colours. The palette comes with a mirror and a double ended sponge eyeshadow applicator.
RRP: 4.99 pounds

4. Barry M lip paint in 146
Barry M lip paint's are probably my favourite lipstick. They're so creamy and glide on so well, and there's a huge variety of colours. I got the 146, which is a Barbie pink colour. I really love the colour and the texture. The colour is brighter in real life than the picture shows. It's called 'Dolly Pink' and it's a new colour from Barry M.
RRP: 4.25 pounds.

5. No7 Smokey Eyes Brush
I've wanted a brush that smudges eyeliner and eyeshadow to give a smokey eyes look for a long time now, I've just never got round to getting one. I had a 5 pounds voucher for Ruby&Millie or No7. Originally I was going to get the Ruby&Millie smudgy brush, because I have the i-define angled brush and I'm in love with it. But the Boots I was in didn't have it in stock, and I came across the No7 Smokey Eyes Brush. The bristles are quite short, soft but firm, which is perfect for the smokey eye look. The brush is really easy to hold and picks up and blends colour really well. I love this brush! The brush is 6.50 but because of my voucher I got it for 1.50, amazing!

RRP: 6.50 pounds

6. GOSH Eyeshadow Brush Flat XL
The bristles are really long and soft, the handle is lovely to hold and it's amazing at applying eyeshadow. The bristles allow the eyeshadow to go evenly on the eye. The brush is a great size too.
Side view:
RRP: 8 pounds

7. GOSH Quattro in 'Platinum' (Q24)
The colours are really pretty, they're shades of silver, which is really pretty. There's a highlighter (top left), matte lightish grey (top right), matte darker grey (bottom left) and shimmery silver (bottom right). The colours are really well pigmented, highly milled and give an even finish. I love the packaging too, it's really cute. In the quad, you get a double ended sponge eyeshadow applicator too. The colours are really durable and last all day, as well as complementing each other really well.

RRP: 8.50 pounds

I hope you like all the products in my haul :)
Have you tried any of the products I bought? What did you think?

March Favourites

1. GOSH Eyeshadow Brush Flat (XL)
This brush is so soft, and really good at picking up eyeshadow dust and keeping the pigment and colour on the eye. It's also good at blending in hard and defined edges of eyeshadow when the correct pressure and angle are applied. It's also pretty cheap at £8 compared to £20 odd from MAC, so I was really impressed with this.

2. Urban Decay Stardust Eyeshadow (White)

This is a recently new range released by UD. I really love the white colour, It looks white and shimmery in the pan, but when applied to the eyelid, I realised that it was pure pure glitter and sparkle. Couldn't really see the white pigment at all, even with UD's primer potion underneath, so I'm guessing that that eyeshadow is just compacted glitter which makes it look white, I don't know. But it's so so pretty and amazing I love it :)

3. Barry M Touch Of Magic Lip Paint
The lipstick looks green, but when it's applied to your lips it goes pink! So cool. Reminds me of them ducks that turn different colour in different temperatures of water aha. Like the ducks, the shade of pink depends on how alkali your lips are.

4. Barry M Lip Paint in 129 Palest Lavender
Barry M lipsticks are so creamy and soft and lovely. And this shade is just the cutest. Reminds me of summer really; it's just a really really light lilac colour.

5. Olay Eye Gel

I'm terrified of getting wrinkles under my eyes, so I've started to rub this gel just under my lower lash line every night. It's tightens the skin really well. But it tends to go quite hot a few minutes after I rubbed it into my skin, it's probably just the chemicals sinking into my pores, but I don't really like that feeling, so that's why I do it before bed; so I don't have to feel it working it's magic! but yeah, this product is really really good. It helps with the kinda dragon eye bumpy skin like on your nose bone next to the tear duct too.

6. Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in Original
The eyeshadows are really really well pigmented, bright colours that are really finely milled. The Sleek palettes come in so many different varieties, but after some careful decision making, I decided the Original was my favourite. I decided to get one to try it out myself, but I may get more. I heard some really good reviews about the Sleek palettes, so checked out my local Superdrug, but couldn't find any there. But when I went to Birmingham (Haul post coming soon!) I found the section in Superdrug there, so I was happy!

Hope this helped!

Lancome Colour Fan

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago now and mentioned it in a haul. I love it so much (:

It has been discontinued from both the Lancome counter and website, so I was really lucky to get my hands on it.

The fan comes in the traditional Lancome black velvet pouch:

The colour fan has a shiny black outercase and the bottom of it has the gold Lancome rose logo on, which I think is really cute.

Then when you open it up:

There is a mirror, six eyeshadows and then there's two sponge applicators after the purple and the brown eyeshadow, not sure if you can see it in the picture.

I really love this, it's really cute and the colour's are so pretty. I'd say the top four: the baby pink, the baby blue, the light orange and light creme colour would be perfect for Spring, and the purple and brown would be perfect for Autumn. But the colour's are so versatile, I think you could wear them any time of the year.

The colours are really well pigmented, they blend easily and it's a really soft texture.
I hope this helped :)

Skins Review

This is a bit late, sorry :(
This season ended last Thursday.

If you missed any episodes, you can watch them on YouTube TV Shows, but they'll only be available for a while, so don't miss them!

I thought the ending of the last epsiode of the season was a really bad ending. It showed John Foster, Effy's psychiatrist's house and Cook broke in to rescue Freddie. (In the previous episode, Foster clubbed Freddie with a baseball bat, but we didn't see Freddie after, so I'm not totally sure if he's dead or not.) Cook then appeared to launch himself at Foster and screamed "I'm Cook" or something. Then the credits rolled, so was a pretty rubbish ending really.

This season had a different director than the other seasons, and I wasn't as into them this season as I have been before.
The previous seasons had a lot of parties, and "hardcore living" which engrossed me.
However, this season was more the effects of the "hardcore living" which wasn't as good. The season was mainly about Emily and Naomi's rocky relationship, which was sorted out in the last episode, Effy's mental state and Cook's running away from the police.

The most dramatically exciting episode was probably the first episode, because around 2 minutes into the opening, a girl jumped off a level in a club and died. Then we found out that Cook gave Naomi cocaine to sell to girl because she wanted the money to buy Emily a present.

So yeah, I wasn't as impressed with this season as I have been with other seasons, but I still love the show. I hope that helped! :)

Love

One of the biggest questions ever asked:

"How do you know if you're in love??"

So here's an entire blog dedicated to the big L.

Google's definitions of love:

♥ a strong positive emotion of regard and affection; "his love for his work"; "children need a lot of love"
♥ any object of warm affection or devotion; "the theater was her first love"; "he has a passion for cock fighting";
♥ have a great affection or liking for; "I love French food"; "She loves her boss and works hard for him"
♥ beloved: a beloved person; used as terms of endearment
♥ get pleasure from; "I love cooking"
♥ a deep feeling of sexual desire and attraction; "their love left them indifferent to their surroundings"; "she was his first love"
♥ be enamored or in love with; "She loves her husband deeply"
♥ a score of zero in tennis or squash; "it was 40 love"
♥ sleep together: have sexual intercourse with; "This student sleeps with everyone in her dorm"; "Adam knew Eve"; "Were you ever intimate with this man?"
♥ sexual love: sexual activities (often including sexual intercourse) between two people; "his lovemaking disgusted her"; "he hadn't had any love in months"; "he has a very complicated love life"
wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

When I was younger, I used to use these kind of definitions to see if I was in love. But now:

"You're in love when you can define love, using your feelings for one person as the basis of your definition; your definition is your own, and means more to you than it will to anyone else. You know you're in love, when you can define love in your own words."

So what are your definitions of love? I'd love to hear them :)

Gaga-Eyed

Yesterday, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé launched their video for telephone. To celebrate this, this is an entire post dedicated to the Gaga.

Gaga Pictures, Images and Photos

This is a photoshot from her video, which is around 9 minutes long. It's more of a story and the song's split up, but I think the video is really good.

The best bit is when Gaga gets into the car, and Beyoncé tells Gaga that she's been naughty. It's hilarious :)

At the start of the video, it shows Gaga climbing up her prison cell door, in a sensored fashion. And someone says that she doesn't have an extra body part down below. Which is also hilarious :)

so if you haven't watched the video already, I suggest you youtube it now :)

lady gaga Pictures, Images and Photos

I love her crazy style, and how she's influenced both other celebs and real people to have fun with their appearance, and show their real selves.

I'm really excited for the MAC Lady Gaga lipstick to come out! Not sure when it's coming out though, but I'll let you know as soon as I know.

A Really Small Haul

So earlier I went shopping, with the intention on going shopping for Mother's day presents and cards. And instead, I bought stuff all for me and came up with the idea I would make my Mom a card and give her some bubble bath. So I only bought a few things because I didn't have much time.
Because I'm going to Leeds and Birmingham in a few weeks for a mega shop, I didn't buy any clothes.

1. The first product I got was Barry M Liquid Eyeliner in black (number 1). This has to be my favourite eyeliner, so I bought some more :)

2. Bourjois Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer in 51 light radiance. I really needed a new concealer, so I thought I'd try this concealer because I was talking to a friend about concealers, and they said that this was a really good one to try.

3. Finally, my favourite product of the haul. Lancome 6 colour fan. There's 6 eyeshadows, a mirror and two eyeshadow sponge applicator brushes. This product is actually discontinued on the Lancome website and the Lancome counter, so I was really lucky to get my hands on this product. The colour fan comes in the black lancome case and I love love love it. The colours are really blendable and really pretty shades.

Question Time

I was browsing the gorgeous http://emmadazzle.blogspot.com's (the link didn't work for some reason :S sorry)blog and I thought I'd do this too:

1. What can't you leave the house without?

My phone, even if I'm out, I feel like I'm out of the social loop. Weird. Gloves and lip balm if it's cold. And a bottle of water and suncream if it's hot.

2. Favourite makeup brand?

There's so many makeup brands that I like for different things, so this is a hard one. I like Urban Decay for their eyeshadow palettes and their eyeshadow primer potion. I like NARS for their blusher. But I guess, MAC does do everything the best apart from a few select items.....

3. Favourite flower?

Amaryllis', sunflowers and daisies. They're just so pretty.

4. Favourite clothing store?

Depends on how the shops have taken the seasons trends really. But I'd have to say Republic, New Look, or Topshop. I can always find something in those.

5. Favourite perfume?

Coco Chanel - Mademoiselle. But now I'm in love with the new Balenciaga perfume.

6. Heels or flat

Depends on the occasion. Usually flats in the day time, or heels when going out in the evening.

7. Do you make good grades?

Not instaniously. If I try hard, then yes, usually.

8. Favourite colours?

Changes all the time really. Always been a fan of lilac, sky blue and pink (though not salmon, peach and all the other yucky shades).

9. Do you drink energy drinks?

Lucozade regular and orange, though I hardly drink it.

10. Do you drink juice?

Apple juice and orange juice are a godsend.

11. Do you like swimming?

Really really hate swimming. Unless I had my own private pool all to myself, then I would like it.

12. Do you eat fries with a fork?

Fries are finger food. Unless they're superhot, then I pick them up with a fork.

13. Favourite moisturiser?

Tricky tricky. Your skin gets adapted to the moisturiser you use, so sometimes the moisturiser you've been using all the time seems to stop working, because you're used to the effects. Which is why you often need to vary your moisturiser. I usually use the Clinique 3-step moisturiser, which is usually fine. But winter + central heating + skin = dry, flaky skin. So now I use E45 cream too, which works wonders - as long as you don't use it unnecessarily.

14. Do you want to get married?

Yes.

15. Do you get mad easy?

Yeah, as soon as one thing annoys me, everything else seems too. It's horrible. Especially when I'm on the monthlies.

16. Are you into ghost hunting?

Nope.

17. Any phobias?

Spiders and bugs. I'm okay with ladybirds and butterflies, but anything else, just no. I'm also scared of ends. I'm okay if there's something next to me like a wall, but if there's just an empty space then a wall, then I don't like it. Weird.

18. Do you bite your nails?

Yes :( I'm trying to stop though, trust :)

19. Have you ever had a near death experience?

I was crossing the road when I was about 9 and on holiday. A car came really fast round the corner. It missed me by about a centimetre. I had chicken pox when I was 13, which could have killed me.

20. Do you drink coffee?

Love coffee.

Now you guys are tagged!

February Favourites

I know this is a bit late, but it's here now :)
In no particular order:

1. Beauty UK Eye Shadow palette No. 2.
The colours are so blendable and highly pigmented, and they're so so soft. I really recommend this product. The colours are really bright too, so they're perfect for going out in the evening. It's around £3.49 for 10 eyeshadows, which is a really good price.

2. QVS Eye Shadow Brush Medium
This brush is so soft but stiff, which is perfect for applying pigments or eyeshadows. It's around £1.99, which is a really good price for a brush like this.

3. Barry M Grey Matte Nail Varnish
I've been using a light pink base on my nails, then applying this nail varnish to the tips of my nails, as an alternative manicure. The varnish is really nice to apply - it dries so soft and glossy with no brush bristle marks. The colour is really nice against the pink and has a sort of wintery feel, which is an excellent look for the colder months. It also looks good as a block colour on any kind of nails.

4. E45 Cream
The cold weather's really been drying my skin out, especially when coming in from the cold and coming into contact with the central heating. At night, I've rubbed this cream to my face and gradually I've begun to see an improvement. My skin's now really soft, so I really recommend this product.

5. Tressemme Heat Defence Spray
I've been using this product for over a year now and I'm still really impressed with it. It protects your hair so so well against heat and it smells good too.

6. Super Mario Bros. Wii
I'm addicted to this game! It's really really easy to play, you can sit down and play it. The controls are really easy too. But, it's so so so addictive. The only problem I've come across is holding 1 to hold a barell and trying to jump with 2 because the buttons on the wii controller are so close together, but I've got used to it now.

7. The Barbie and Paul's Boutique Glitter Lizzy Purse
I haven't got this yet, but I'm planning on getting it next time I go to Selfridges. I really love it. The outside of the purse is black with glitter and it has the Barbie logo on the centre front. It's supercute.

8. Starbucks Caramel Hot Chocolate
It's really sweet, but it's lush! It really warms you up from the cold outside. Because it's so sweet I can only drink the small size, otherwise I feel way too sick.

9. Oat So Simple Porridge - Golden Syrup Flavour
It's so easy to make! You open the packet and pour the flakes in the bowl and use the packet to measure the right amount of milk (genius - I'm such a dumbrain in the morning) and then pop it in the microwave at 800W for 2 mins. I love the golden syrup flavour because it's so sweet. I do like to add a bit of sugar to it after though :) It's really filling and can last me until lunchtime - even with a lot of running about.

10. Free Song a Week From iTunes
You can get free songs every week from iTunes of new and upcoming artists. It introduced to me to music that I like - but wouldn't think about buying. I recommend downloading them and giving them a try; after all, it's free!

So that's my top 10 February favourites for this month. I've discovered more products in March already, that I really like, so keep your eye out for my March favourites!

Has anyone else discovered a product that they really like in February?

Debenhams Review

I ordered my Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland makeup palette from Debenhams on Friday. I had an email from them today and they said that my order had not gone through (even though on Friday it was all confirmed) and I would not be recieving my palette because their computer was not updated as quickly as it should have been.
They also said they cannot reserve me one.
The charge for ringing their phone is also reasonably large, and I asked if they could re-emburse me this charge, because I spent a lot of time on the phone ordering my palette and then to find out what's going on. They said that they could not do this.
I did however, get my delivery charge money back and the cost of the palette.
I am completely appalled with this service because as a major shopping store, you would think that no problems would occur with this type of order.
As there's only 2000 palletes in the UK, it's very important to me that I get one, so I'm so angry.
Next time I'm in a store, I'm going to ask to speak with the manager to discuss this issue.
I'm so so so annoyed I can't describe it.
So in conclusion, I hate this shop and am completely appalled with their service and business procedure.

Hello Kitty Dinnerset

A fortnight a go, I was in the magazine section at my local supermarket and noticed a Hello Kitty plate attatched to a magazine. It was the last one on the shelf.
So I picked up the magazine and I was like OMG WOW, I have to get this. So I did :)
Later at the checkout, I overheard someone talking about the Hello Kitty magazine, so I turned to look and I obviously caught their eye because they asked me if the one I had was the last one and I said yes. Bearing in mind, this was in the space of about ten minutes in one supermarket. So by the looks of it, the set's pretty popular.
I really love Hello Kitty, and this plate was supercute. It's actual pottery and not plastic and you're able to put it in both the dishwasher and microwave.
The magazine comes with some recipes to try out, but I haven't tried any yet. Once I do, I'll tell you guys how it went.
So this magazine with the plate was £1.99 as an introductory price.
The next issue comes out today I think, because I read somewhere that they come every fortnight. And from now on the price of the magazine is £4.99.
This week, is two Hello Kitty breakfast mugs and they're supercute too.
I was contemplating whether I should subscribe to the magazine and collect the whole set, but it's a whole dinner set and I don't really think I want all of the dinnerset. I definately want the mugs though, because it's two for £4.99 and the Hello Kitty mugs that aren't part of this collection are about £15 each, so this is a bargain!
I also have no use for a complete dinnerset right now, but I'm sure they're perfect for someone who has space and use for them!

Things Girls Want Guys To Know - Requested

Here are my ideas of things girls want guys to know, if you have anymore, comment below! :)

1. Girls love being hugged from behind
2. When you kiss them, put your hand on their neck so that your fingers are on the back of their neck
3. Whenever you see them, tell them they look pretty
4. When you're about to leave them, tell them you had a great time and kiss them on their head
5. When she says she's cold, she wants you to hug her
6. When you're sitting down and she shuffles up to you, put your arm around her
7. When you're out together, don't snog her face off. Instead hold her hand and kiss her softly on the lips
8. Girls love being taken out, but sometimes they just want to chill with you. So instead of planning a romantic meal, invite her around yours, get a takeaway or cook her a meal and just spend time with her
9. If she talks about something a lot, she's dropping hints that she wants this something
10. If she's mad at you, don't leave her like this. Try and sort things out, preferably before she goes to sleep
11. We don't care about muscles or how strong you are
12. We love hearing your emotions and feelings, so don't hide them all away
13. We want to feel close to you, so let us in
14. Plan things, girls don't want to be planning everything
15. When it's our birthday, we'll love anything you get us because you gave it to us
16. Make note of important anniversaries - it means a lot if a guy remembers these, and if you don't, it may end in a lot of grief
17. When we're sad, just hold us and tell us everything is going to be okay
18. Don't act differently around us just because you're with your friends
19. Call us up and ask us how our day was, we always want to talk to you
20. Don't tell people personal things about you and your girl - such as how far you've been with her, how big her boobs are, etc. Even if it's to your best friends. She WILL find out and won't be too happy with you.

I think these are the main things I think every girl wants guys to know, although it does depend on the girl, so not all of these will apply to every girl. But one thing's for sure, every girl wants to feel loved and wanted.

I hope this helped :)

Review - Barry M Dazzle Dusts

I really really love these products from Barry M. I think they're such a good buy because:
1. They're £4.50 and they last so so so long. I think I've had one for two years and it's only gone down a tiny bit in the pot.
2. They're really highly pigmented so you only need a small amount on your brush, which is why they last so long.
3. The colour is really vibrant especially with a primer underneath - such as Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
4. The pots are really cute - there's a glass bottom and a plastic top and they're about the circumferance of a 10p, so they're really easy to slip into your make up bag and carry around with you.
5. When you first open the product, there isn't a huge gap from the top of the packaging to the start of the dazzle dust; the pot is packed full of the stuff, which is good.
6. There's so many different colours for loads of different uses. Some colours can be worn in the day and others at night.
7. The colours can go really well together.
8. They're similar to the MAC pigments, but a lot lot lot cheaper, even though the packaging is smaller with Barry M. However, I think the quality is just as good.
9. I really like the limited edition dazzle dusts, especially the new purple one that came out in January I think.
10. You can use them anywhere - not just on your eyes. You can use the white coloured one for a cheek highlighter for example.

I hope this review helped you guys.

Alice in Wonderland

I just went to see the new Alice in Wonderland movie by Tim Burton in 3D. It was amaze!
I've picked up ideas for new make up looks using the film generally and the characters' make up especially.
The make up I think that I loved most was the heart that the Queen of Hearts had on her lips, using her cupids bow for the top bit of the heart.
So keep an eye out for future make up looks based on this!

I'm also waiting for my Alice in Wonderland Urban Decay pallette to arrive, I'm so excited! And I will be using this to create some looks for you.

FrontCover Rainbow Eyes Set

I was just browsing the Boots webiste (www.boots.com)
and i came across this FrontCover Rainbow Eyes Set, which has 25 eyeshadows and also this bottle which looks like eyeliner which apparently turns eyeshadow into eyeliner, so is similar to the Eyeshadow Transforming Potion from Urban Decay.

The link for the page along with the photo is:

So, I'm actually going to buy this product and I will do a review for you guys when I've tested it out :)

Tattoo

I've actually always wanted a tattoo, from when I was about 13. I was looking on either Facebook at a tattoo and piercing group, or photobucket, I can't really remember. Anyway, I saw this tattoo and really liked it.

So now I'm going to use this picture as inspiration for a make up look :)

Batiste Dry Shampoo

This stuff is amazing. When you have no time to shower or wash your hair, this is so so good. It makes your hair look really clean and because I like the "bed hair" look, it makes my usually fine hair into pretty big bed hair when I backcomb. The smell is so so good, you can get the regular, this yellow tropical one which smells of pineapples or something or the pink one which smells pretty good too.

The only problem with this product is that you have to wash your hair later that day or the next morning because it makes your hair feel heavier than it usually does, and it's not too good to run your hands through, it feels kinda like someone spilt some talcum powder on your hair, if it's been in your hair for too long.

When I use this product, I shake the bottle, with the cap on, for about two minutes. Then I just spray it on the top of my head and I don't use it on the shaft or ends of my hair. I then rub where I have sprayed with firm pressing of my fingertips. This activates the dry shampoo so it revitalises your hair instead of making your hair look grey, like it would if you didn't rub it in properly. I usually spend about a minute rubbing it into my hair. About 5 minutes later, I then use my paddle brush to brush my hair normally, and after styling it in the way I want.

I hope this review helped you guys :)

Lady Gaga

I recently read that Lady Gaga Barbie dolls were maybe going to be made. I was like wow.

This guy in China makes them and was contemplating whether to actually mass produce them, I really hope he does, be so cool.
So yeah, that inspired me.

I love the way that Lady Gaga is so so individual and i'm going to attempt to make my own Gaga doll!
I'm going to attempt to make something like this:

So I will keep you updated on how it goes!

Introduction

Okay, so I know that there are a lot of people out there that are doing the same sort of stuff that I am doing, which are probably a million times better than me. But anyway. I don't think I'm pretty or special and the purpose of what I'm doing is not to promote fakery, or the idea that everyone has to look a certain way. I love individuality and this is something fun that I have decided to do to relieve my own boredom and perhaps other people's too. If you can't stand me, hate me or have mean things to say about me or what I do, then I suggest you don't follow me; it just makes sense.
Basically, this blog is going to be reviews of products, reviews of shops, make up, jewellery, hauls and just basically anything I feel like. I am also working on starting to make YouTube videos, like tutorials and things, so when I do start I will let you all know, but I’ll just have to do this for now. I will try and update this as much as I can, and I will definitely read all of your comments and things and will try my hardest to reply to them.
I am open to requests and I may do them, so please leave comments and things with your requests!
Any opinions that I do make are just what I feel towards that subject and I am in no way trying to force that opinion on you. Products that may have reacted in a certain way to me may not work in the same way for you, so please use my reviews as a guideline and don’t hate me if the effects were different to you.
Okay, boring stuff out the way :) I’m a pretty average girl, with a pretty busy life, so this is kinda my escape from all that, doing something I enjoy. I have a really unhealthy obsession with make up and clothes and jewellery and it makes me happy, so yeah :)
Chlo is not my real name; it’s a name I use to protect my real identity from people that I don’t want seeing my blog. Mainly people I know, I don’t really know why but I just don’t want them to see what I’m doing. I’m a geek :) So please please don’t ask me what my real name is because I won’t answer. I guess if people know who I am and what I do then the information I disclose won’t be as good as if they didn’t know, if you get that. Anyway, I hope that you will follow me and will find my opinions helpful.
I do live in the UK, so the products that are available to me here may not be available or may be different to the products from other countries, but I’m sure products can be shipped, if you're really desperate.

Anyway, thankyou for reading and i hope that you will like my future posts!
